Cody Simpson Serenades Miley Cyrus in Hospital With New Song

Miley Cyrus had a special visitor on Tuesday, October 8. The songstress, who has been hospitalized for tonsillitis, took to her Instagram Story to share her “boyfriend” Cody Simpson stopped by with roses to serenade her back to health.

In a series of videos, Miley shared that Simpson arrived with roses in hand and played a song he’d written just for her titled “Golden Thing.”

"Suddenly I am feeling much better," she captioned the first video, adding in the following story: "This sweeeeeet guy came to visit at the hospital and sang the sweeeeeetest song he just wrote for me."

"It's too special to be only heard in full by my ears," she continued in another video from her hospital bed with Simpson. "So I am currently pressuring him to DROP IT next week...& it's working #GoldenThing."

The Australian crooner also sang lyrics from Elvis Presley's Blue Hawaii, a film the duo recently watched together.

The twosome were first spotted together kissing while grabbing breakfast at Backyard Bowls in Los Angeles on October 3 following Cyrus’ split from fling Kaitlynn Carter and shocking separation from husband Liam Hemsworth in August.

"I know the public feels invested in my past relationship because they felt like they saw it thru from the beginning," Cyrus told fans following the news and fan upset. "I think that's why people have always felt so entitled over my life and how I live it because they've watched me grow up. ... I am grown now and make choices as an adult knowing the truth/details/reality,” she added at the time. “People only 'know' what they see on the internet.”

The “Malibu” singer also touched upon double standards when it comes to being a woman.

"They move on from one beautiful young woman to the next MOST times without consequence. ... I am trying to just THRIVE/survive in a 'mans' world,” she concluded. “If we can't beat em, join em!"
