Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce & Taylor Swift Snubbed From 2020 Oscars

2020 Oscar nominations have been announced and some of the chart-toppers that we know and love were snubbed by the Academy.

After the list went live on Monday morning (January 13), folks saw no sign of Jennifer Lopez in the Best Supporting Actress category, while Little Women‘s Florence Pugh and Richard Jewell's Kathy Bates made surprising appearances. Besides all the positive press, as well as the bets on her getting some Oscar love, Lopez has been making the rounds in the world of film for her campaign, snagging nominations at the SAG Awards, Critics’ Choice Awards, Golden Globe Awards and more.

Additionally, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift were nowhere to be found in the the Best Original Song race, while the former delivered "Spirit" to The Lion King soundtrack and Swift released "Beautiful Ghosts" to accompany her role on Cats. Among the competitors in the category this year include Elton John's "(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again" from Rocketman, "I Can't Let You Throw Yourself Away" from Toy Story 4, "I'm Standing With You" from Breakthrough, “Into The Unknown” from Frozen 2, and "Stand Up" from Harriet.

Meanwhile, films like Frozen 2 and The Farewell, a recent champ at the Golden Globes, were also missing entirely from the nomination pack sans the former's Best Original song nod. Click here to see the full list of nominations!
