Christmas is over and it's time to discard your tree! This weekend, you can take your tree to one of seven Treecycle locations in El Paso County. There's a $5 suggested minimum donation benefiting Colorado Springs Youth Sports, the El Pomar Youth Sports Park and six area youth service organizations. For more information, visit TreeCycleCos.org
The Friends of Cheyenne Mountain State Park will also collect your real Christmas tree and put it to good use! A $5 donation is suggested. Collections take place this weekend January 7 & 8 from 10 a.m to 3 p.m. at Cheyenne Mountain State Park! For more details check out their Facebook page HERE
Of course, you could also EAT your tree. No...seriously! A book came out a few years ago called "How to Eat Your Christmas Tree" and it has several recipes using your Christmas tree! CRAZY! But apparently, a lot of people are trying it. Would you?
