Happy Monday mamas!
I hope you all had a beautiful weekend! What did everyone do?! We went to a birthday party on Saturday, but had to stop at Target for a last minute present because this mama forgot.(Side note: Save time, ditch the birthday card and go straight for the gift. They can't read anyway lol). Guess who showed up?! Elsa and Anna.. and my daughter could not contain herself. It was like she ate a handful of jumping beans! My son on the other hand, couldn't care less. He was more concerned about where the food was..shocking! This boy would eat all day if he could. But he was such a trooper! I mean you have a room full of 4/5 year old little girls with Elsa and Anna singing, dancing, playing games and telling stories..what would you do? The fun didn't stop after the party was over though. Nope. I surprised them with going to the Unicorn Festival (because apparently, this is a REAL thing) with their grandma, aunt, and cousin on Sunday. The looks on their face when we finally made the hour and a half and two cups of coffee (or as I like to call it morning wine) car ride up there were priceless. We barely made it through the gates before the girls were trying to run off and pet the unicorns, run to the bounce houses.. I swear I needed more arms and legs for this. We all (yes ALL) decided "HEY! Why not" and got our face painted..because if you can't beat them, join them. (I'm still trying to get the glitter out of my hair..) McKinley couldn't "let it go" that we saw Elsa and Anna, again.. as well as Jasmine, Princess Tiana.. I mean they just kept popping up.
By the end of the day everyone was feelin' it and was ready for a good nap, and a real glass of whine..I mean wine. Picture this, I had both my kids practically throwing themselves on the ground because I walked "too" fast (but really, it was raining at this point so can you blame me?). I'm pretty sure I had a few good stares when people saw me carrying both tired and crying children, a backpack, and unicorn ears that kept falling off their little heads.
I hope you enjoy the pictures from our crazy weekend!
