I never thought I would say that I am ACTUALLY happy that it's Monday..but here we are. This weekend was madness! From my son's birthday Friday, his party Saturday, and work events in between...let's just say it was mom's turn to wine.
Friday was my son's actual birthday so I took him and his sister to FINALLY see Toy Story 4. He is completely obsessing over all things Toy Story (Buzz to be specific) right now, so to say he was excited would be an understatement. It was so cute! I totally balled at the end... no shame. So big kids..bring tissue ha ha. I had a work event that night, so I dropped both kiddos off with our neighbors and when I got home at 9:00, I still had the bounce house needing to be delivered, cleaning and sign making to do. Finally in bed by 12:30, I was oh so graciously woken up by my newly 3 year old at exactly 5:45. Let the coffee never stop pouring, because today is going to be a long day.
I had all these ideas and plans on what I was going to do (you know the Pinterest one), but when it came down to those final minutes before the chaos, I gave in and accepted my Pinterest party just wasn't going to happen. Once all of the kids started showing up, and the noise hit a level 10, all of those little details I thought I needed to make my sons birthday worth while; ceased to mean anything. The smile on my sons face reminded me that I don't need to overwork myself for a 3 year old's birthday party. My little man had one heck of a day; him and his friends bounced until their legs fell off. For those of you looking for a fun at home party idea I would highly definitely recommend a bounce house! It keeps the kids entertained the entire time, tires them out, helps them fall asleep super easy, and bounce points it's fun for the adults too ha ha.
Enjoy some of the photos from the party! I have also added a link to the company we used for the bounce house!
