Marathon runner crawls across finish line to honor fallen heroes

There are many stories of grit and determination that come out of the Boston Marathon, but this may be the most touching. There was a Marine in the race yesterday running in honor of fallen comrades. Micah Herndon served several deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, and during a tour in Afghanistan in 2010, three people he was with were killed when they were targeted by an IED. Those three were Marines Mark Juarez and Matthew Ballard, and Rupert Hamer, a British journalist.

To honor the fallen, Herndon pushed himself to the limit and then he did what he was trained to; stop at nothing to achieve a goal. The runner crawled to the finish line with a time of 3 hours 38 minutes.

This video will touch you to the core of your being.
