Like the kids, you may not have back-to-school on the brain just yet ... but the experts are pointing out that we're nearing the time to start getting the kids back into their school routines like getting to bed in time for a good night's sleep.
One simple tip to start right now is setting the kiddos' bedtime to 15 minutes earlier than what they've been used to all summer long. The experts are saying to do this for at least four days in a row and then transition to 20 or 25 minutes, etc. until they can naturally go to bed at the time you want them to.
Turning off screens at least an hour before bed.
Set an appropriate bedtime and stick with it.
Keep the bedroom dark and cool and possibly use white noise as a helpful sleep-inducer.
